POINT DUME disputed the pace inside FULL MOON MADNESS, came into the stretch in the two path, drifted out near the sixteenth pole and held sway under pressure. CHIPOTLE stalked the pace three wide around the turn, moved to the four path in upper stretch and rallied outside the winner. PETINGAS TWIN stayed outside horses down the backstretch, was four wide on the turn, eased out to the five path in upper stretch and rallied. FULL MOON MADNESS bore in leaving the starting gate, disputed the pace outside POINT DUME, steadied when herded out by that one near the sixteenth pole and weakened. ON THE MARK chased the pace, moved up through a narrow opening along the rail entering the stretch and weakened in the drive. TWISTED RIDE broke in the air, raced in the two path on the turn and was not a factor. ONE MORE SCOOP , a little fidgety in the starting gate, steadied behind FULL MOON MADNESS soon after the start then failed to be a factor. S S SINATRA remained along the inner rail on the turn and weakened. LATTA pulled up lame on the turn and was transported off the track on the equine ambulance. An objection by the rider of ON THE MARK against the winner for alleged interference leaving the tur and was not allowed. There was a stewards' inquiry concerning the stretch run but no action was taken.
