BOSS MODE settled early, well placed to the quarter pole, bid four wide into the lane, kicked clear into the final furlong, felt pressure from the runner in deep stretch, kept to task and held late. PENCIL ME IN hopped start and last away from the gate, advanced along the inside into the turn, got caught in traffic into upper stretch, found room at the furlong marker, was gaining late, could not reel in the winner in deep stretch and was an easy second. DANCING DENAE settled off of the early pace, saved ground along the backstretch then tracked the pacesetter two wide nearing the quarter marker, chased three wide into the stretch, finished evenly in the lane and was a clear third. STICKTOTHESYSTEM sent, assumed the early lead, drew off along the backstretch run and held a long lead to the quarter pole, overtaken into upper stretch, weakened in the lane. PAYNTED LION settled, coaxed five wide to quarter pole, swung widest to upper stretch and did not offer a late rally. MY BOY BUD settled off pace, asked four wide into turn, no threat in the drive. DIVOT DIGGER off bit slow, unhurried in the early stages, trailed to upper stretch, no factor.
