Footnotes
PUDGE BOY PALACE raced close up to the early pace while between foes, took back and tracked the dueling pair to the turn, shifted to the three path nearing the top of the lane, bid to upper stretch and took command into the final furlong, kicked clear and kept to task in the final stages. SEVEN'S ELEVEN was bumped at the start and off a step slowly, recovered and tracked the early pace while saving ground, was well placed to the quarter pole, shifted to the two path to upper stretch then was caught in traffic into the lane, angled four wide at the furlong pole, battled to the final sixteenth but could not reel in the winner late and held for the place. CATAHOULA MOON settled just off of the early pace along the backstretch, coaxed outside of rivals along the turn, roused four then five wide into the lane, closed willingly into the final sixteenth, missed for the place and was clear of the rest for the show. MALIBLUE veered in at the start and crowded inner rivals, showed good early speed and disputed the pace three deep along the backstretch run, dueled outside of BACKNTHEWOODS into the turn, contested the decent pace to the quarter pole then battled into the lane, could not keep pace with the winner past mid-stretch and yielded in the final sixteenth. MISTER AGENT got squeezed at the start and spotted the field to begin, trailed to the turn, saved ground to the quarter marker and into upper stretch then made a mild late rally in the final sixteenth. BACKNTHEWOODS showed good speed away from the gate and took early command, engaged with MALIBLUE and dueled inside of that rival heading into the turn, disputed the moderate pace to the quarter pole, was overtaken to upper stretch then faded in the final furlong.
