FIRMANTOWN sent leaving the start, contested the early pace from outside of SUPERLASTINGSECRET, took command into the turn and showed the way to the quarter marker, kept to task into the stretch and held off a late challenge from the runner-up. ROBERT'S MOON chased the early pace three wide and between rivals, ran in pursuit of FIRMANTOWN while two wide into the turn, responded into the stretch, made a late gain to pressure the winner in deep stretch but could not reel that one in and was a clear second. PARTY WITH SMARTY allowed to settle in the early going, trailed to the turn then advance while saving ground nearing the quarter marker, continued that steady bid to the stretch, could not impact the top pair late but was well clear in the end for third. BJORN raced close up to the early pace while between foes, got caught in tight and checked nearing the three-eighths, shifted out and chased three wide to upper stretch and could not muster the needed late response. SUPERLASTINGSECRET broke alertly, showed good early speed and contested the early pace from inside of FIRMANTOWN, dueled that runner to the turn, lost position along the bend and chased to the quarter marker, could not keep pace to upper stretch and faded in the final furlong. TYSON'S DELIVERY tracked the early pace from outside of rivals, chased three then four wide nearing the quarter marker, could not find the needed response to upper stretch and gave way in the drive.
