NIGHT TIME NAP was forwardly placed while between rivals to the first turn, contested the pace to the backstretch then stalked BOB MARCO to the half-mile, overtook that rival at the three-eighths and led to the quarter marker, kicked clear to upper stretch, drew off through the lane and coasted to the wire under mild hand urging. UNION FLEET allowed to settle in the early running, was unhurried while outside of rivals along the backstretch, roused three wide nearing the quarter pole, chased NIGHT TIME NAP into the stretch, was no match for the winner in the late stages and was best of the rest. FAN CLUB broke alertly and vied for the early lead, rated just off of the pace and was well placed while saving ground to the backstretch, chased NIGHT TIME NAP while two wide nearing the quarter marker, could not keep pace with the leading pair into the stretch, weakened in the final sixteenth but held clearly in the end for third. WORK HARD raced close up to the early pace while between rivals, shifted out and tracked the decent pace three wide along the backstretch run, ran in pursuit between foes nearing the quarter marker, could not keep pace into the lane and gave way in the final furlong. ARMANDO R broke a bit slowly and was void of early speed, lagged to the backstretch run and trailed to the far turn, swung widest to upper stretch, made up ground in the lane but failed to threaten in the final stages. ELUSIVE TARGET rated off of the early pace, saved ground along the backstretch run, chased two then three wide nearing the quarter pole, angled four wide for the stretch drive, could not find the needed response in the lane and faltered late. BOB MARCO was forwardly placed while four wide to the first turn, contested the pace to the backstretch then took command and showed the way to the half-mile, set a decent pace to the second turn, was overtaken leaving the three-eighths, stopped along the far turn, was eased through the lane and walked off.
