Footnotes
WOODLINE was forwardly placed away from the start then rushed up to contest the pace along the backstretch, took command into the turn and dictated terms to the quarter marker, drew to a clear lead into the lane, avoided the loose horse at the furlong marker, kept to task into the final sixteenth and held safely over the oncoming runner-up. HATCH raced close up to the early pace while between rivals, got shuffled back a bit approaching the turn, tracked the pacesetter two wide and between foes nearing the quarter pole, ran in pursuit of WOODLINE into the stretch, was gaining on the winner in the final sixteenth and was clear of the rest for the place. BEACH COWBOY was prominent in the early running while inside of rivals, got crowded by the loose horse on the run to the turn and checked nearing the three-eighths, shifted out and chased three wide to the quarter marker, swung four wide for the drive, closed willingly in the final sixteenth and held for third at the wire. MAGIC SPIN broke a step slowly leaving the start, was hustled in the early going and chased outside of rivals approaching the turn, ran in pursuit three wide nearing the quarter marker, could not find the needed response and was outfinished late for the show honors. ELECTRIC EEL was forwardly placed in the early running, took back on the run to the turn and saved ground to the quarter marker, angled three wide to upper stretch and lacked the needed late response. FIND FAITH broke alertly, showed good early speed and set a contested pace to the turn, dueled inside of WOODLINE into the turn, chased that rival to the quarter marker, could not keep pace into upper stretch and gave way in the final furlong. PROM KNIGHT asked for early run, could not keep pace on the run to the turn and trailed into the bend, was eased through the lane and walked off. HELDISH stumbled at the start and unseated the rider, impeded a rival on the run to the turn, was caught following the race and walked off. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE START, INVOLVING THE INCIDENT WITH HELDISH. THE STEWARDS DETERMINED THAT RUNNER CAUSED HIS OWN ISSUES, AND NO CHANGE WOULD BE MADE.
