Footnotes
AMAZING BERNIE , with the pace along the rail into and around the first turn, rated kindly through the backstretch run, eased out for room near the five sixteenths, responded to some nudging and bid three deep to take over leaving the three sixteenths, spurted clear soon after then eagerly widened as his rider was basically motionless through the final sixteenth. TWICE GOLD rated off of a rival nearing the first turn then angled out a bit, edged up three wide and between runners near the half, chased under a hearty ride past the five sixteenths, moved up to threaten into the lane, chased on through the final furlong, faded and settled for the place. DOCSGOTALLTHECANDY was hard sent from the outside and cleared into the first turn, made his way over towards the inner rail past the three quarter pole, was joined by ARTIST MARK with a half to go, ceded to that one leaving the three eighths, pursued to upper stretch then gradually gave way. LUCKED IN lagged back, raced three to four wide in upper stretch, offered a belated response but failed to make any real inroads. ARTIST MARK was firmly rated off of the leader's heels into the first turn, regrouped near the seven eighths, tracked then bid two wide near the half, dueled leaving the far turn, shook clear with five sixteenths remaining, ceded to outer rivals leaving the three sixteenths and tired. STRATEGIST rated off heels in the opening furlong, angled out then edged up four deep nearing the half, failed to go on under pressure leaving the far turn, faltered and wandered outward.
