Footnotes
BACK WALL BANDIT circled the turn three wide, took command outside SNOWBOARDER approaching the sixteenth pole and drew off under urging. STYLISH GEM stayed along the inner rail throughout and rallied mildly. SNOWBOARDER sped to the early lead and went clear on the turn, stayed well off the inner rail in the stretch and tired in the drive. AS THE BELL TOLES chased the early pace, dropped back on the turn, came into the stretch between horses and showed renewed interest to rally. PONEY ISLAND chased the pace fom the three path around the turn and gave way the final fulrong. IZZY'S ROCK STAR stayed in the three path on the turn and was not a factor. GALIBEAN remained along the inner rail while outrun. ROSIE'S FORTUNE unseated her rider when stumbling badly at the break, but cantered safely around the turn and walked off. There was a stewards' inquiry concerning the start but no action was taken.
