LAYSEN broke inward and brushed with SWEET SPY, corrected and was sent up between foes to contest the pace, dueled two to three wide outside SWEET SPY into and around the turn, was ridden clear three wide into the lane, drifted in leaving mid stretch, was straightened with left handed asks and held firm. U CROCS broke slowly, regrouped and edged up towards the inside through the opening furlong, was urged along chasing a contested pace, angled out into the lane, was guided back inside for the final furlong, closed nicely and continued eagerly through the gallop out. EL PAPACITO broke sharply then was rated back off inner foes, tracked the duelers three wide, circled four wide under a ride, loomed near mid stretch then came up empty. SWEET SPY , brushed at the break, accelerated inside and disputed the pace inside the winner, failed to kick on leaving the three sixteenths and tired. QUAIN , fractious in the gate, hopped at the break, dropped back off the pace, came three wide for the drive and failed to muster up a run. PERKINS GEM broke sluggishly, lagged back, saved ground into the stretch and failed to menace.
