HOW SWEET SHE IS settled within range while about three wide, edged up near the half, responded when given her cue and rolled up to engage GILDA'S GIRL with three eighths remaining, moved away in tandem past the five sixteenths then poked a head in front approaching the stretch, kept on battling under right handed asks leaving mid stretch, asserted herself late and drew clear. GILDA'S GIRL cleared soon after the break then dropped in to set a rated pace, handled outer pressure from CANDY CRAZE through the backstretch run, got the better of that one leaving the far turn then braced for the outer charge from HOW SWEET SHE IS, dug in to duel, fought on gamely past to about the sixteenth pole then gave way grudgingly while well clear of the rest. BY THE GLASS tracked inside, took closer order near the half, was put to a ride soon after but failed to initially quicken with the top pair, remained inside into the stretch then found more through the final furlong to bridge the gap. AUDIBLY settled off the pace, raced well back leaving the far turn, was under a ride three wide into the lane, shifted out and offered a belated response. CANDY CRAZE was sent up between runners in the opening sixteenth and gained a stalking spot, edged up and shadowed GILDA'S GIRL, through the backstretch run, failed to keep pace while under a ride past the five sixteenths and faded. DESTINED TO DANCE saved ground while in touch through the opening half mile, failed to kick on leaving the far turn and retreated.
