Footnotes
HONORS DUE sped clear early, set the pace off the inside, was joined from both sides leaving the five sixteenths, drifted out a bit from left handed asking soon into the lane, corrected with the right crop, battled nose to nose with an inner FINN D'ORO through the final sixteenth, kept on tenaciously and got the bob. FINN D'ORO prompted the pace along the inner rail, moved through to engage HONORS DUE near the quarter pole, emerged in a duel in mid stretch, fought on valiantly and just missed. BYE BYE WICKED EYE stalked three to four wide, was paused between runners near the quarter pole, altered out in upper stretch and slowly came back on through the final furlong. IMPERIAL SPY chased off the inside, came four wide for the drive, angled out near mid stretch, switched over to his correct lead and closed belatedly. CITY PANDA , bumped at the break, raced between rivals leaving the far turn, edged up in about the three path nearing mid stretch, shifted in and kept grinding. REPEATINGOFCOURSE lost ground four to five wide pursuing the pace, moved up three deep mid turn, bid five wide outside runners soon after, forced the issue into the stretch and weakened. WORLD ON FIRE , roughed up and forced in by WE CALLED SOL at the break, found himself far back after regrouping, saved ground past the five sixteenths, swung out wide for the drive but failed to get involved. WE CALLED SOL bore in sharply making sound contact with WORLD ON FIRE, raced well off the pace around the turn, saved ground into the stretch and failed to menace. MOONLIT FROST broke a step slow, recovered and edged up while saving ground, chased to mid turn, angled out into the stretch and retreated.
