XCELLENT START lacked speed, stayed along the inner rail down the backstretch, eased out to the two path leaving the far turn, closed resolutely inside horses and was up approaching the finish. HAGRID'S FLAME , put in a forward position entering the first turn, chased the leader down the backstretch, advanced in the two path on the turn, gained the lead turning for home, was clear in mid stretch, drifted out in the drive and gave way grudgingly. CROSSLAND remained along the inner rail on the first turn while well off the lead, raced in the two path entering the far turn, eased out leaving the turn, floated to the five path in mid stretch and flattened out. TAKE THE PLEDGE broke slowly, trained to the stretch, swung to the six path in mid stretch and passed tired horses. CERTIFIED LOVERBOY made the early lead and moved to the inner rail, stayed along the rail, was challenged turning for home, drifted out in upper stretch and weakened the final furlong. TOPS THE CHART stalked the pace, was well positioned entering the stretch and weakened. CAP COM hugged the inner rail down the backstretch, around the far turn, through the stretch and gave way.
