Footnotes
BJORN prompted the early pace outside CHRISTMAS SPIRIT, engaged that one mid way down the back stretch then dueled there after to prevail in an extended drive. CHRISTMAS SPIRIT showed speed, hugged the inner rail and battled with the winner in a game effort. MAUPANSANT stalked the pace, was well placed three wide leaving the far turn and weakened on his left lead. SHOT FOR THE MOON , taken to the inner rail on the first turn, remained inside, moved to the two path leaving the far turn and weakened. UNCLE GREY , steadied in close quarters entering the first turn was not a factor. SALVO TRIGGER , outside horses down the backstretch, dropped back.
