Footnotes
CRAB DADDY stalked the pace near the inner rail under patient handling, eased out to the four path at the head of the stretch, closed outside RAMPAGIUS, overtook that one inside the sixteenth pole and drove clear. RAMPAGIUS drifted in soon after the break, stayed three deep prompting the pace, dueled around the turn, went clear in upper stretch, gave way grudgingly and switched to his left lead late. HITTHEROADJAK showed speed along the inner rail, disputed the pace to upper stretch then gradually weakened. TENEBRIS disputed the pace, raced in the two path between horses around the turn and faded in the drive. CADEAU D'ARGENT bobbled at the break, steadied in close quarters soon after the start, moved to the inner rail leaving the backstretch, eased out on the bend, floated three wide approaching the stretch and failed to rally. MAGIC MULE , no factor, raced in the three path on the turn. SMUGGLER'S GOLD dropped back.
