Footnotes
MASAKADO , bumped at the break, showed speed and secured the inside while attending the pace, rated kindly through the backstretch run, eased back a bit off the leader near the five sixteenths, responded when given his cue and came back on while cutting the corner into the lane, forged to command inside rivals in mid stretch, spurted clear under a drive and held firm. WALDRIP angled out a bit early and stalked three wide, moved to engage the leader leaving the far turn, took over nearing the lane, battled outside rivals leaving mid stretch and kept on gamely for the place. MORE VINO , sent four wide to the lead, set the pace off the inside, dug in when collared near the three eighths, fought on between runners leaving the furlong grounds then gave way grudgingly. IT'S SIZZLING TIME rated forwardly and raced inside runners near the half, eased back and angled out shifted out six to seven wide for the drive and churned on outside rivals. BIGTONTEN , bumped at the start, settled off the inside then between runners near the half, gained past the five sixteenths, shifted out five wide and flattened out. STATES UNITED settled off the pace and well off the inside, edged up three deep near the half, was under pressure pursuing past the five sixteenths, came five to six wide for the drive and faded. WALK AWAY JOE , bumped at the break, dropped far back early while unhurried, saved ground leaving the far turn and lacked a rally.
