UNION FLEET settled well off the inside and within range, took closer order three deep mid turn, circled four wide with continued progression into the lane and engaged INDY CHARGES ON, dueled, gained a slim lead inside the furlong grounds then was fully extended between runners to prevail. J D FACTOR broke forwardly while taking a substantial bump from INDY CHARGES ON, cleared early and set the pace about three wide, was joined from the outside nearing the turn, sparred around the turn, dropped back a bit while closer to the rail leaving the three sixteenths, dug down and altered out leaving mid stretch and battled back gamely outside rivals. INDY CHARGES ON broke outward bumping J D FACTOR, was taken back soon after and angled well wide, moved up to engage the leader into the turn, vied then went clear into the stretch, drifted in dueling to the inside of UNION FLEET past mid stretch and gave way grudgingly. FREEDOM ROAD stalked off the inside, was pushed along between runners mid turn, shifted out and went evenly in the final furlong. LURE HIM IN lagged back around the turn, shifted out very wide for the drive and found some run through the final sixteenth. CROSSLAND failed to menace. ADERO prompted the pace while saving ground, failed to kick on under a ride into the stretch and weakened.
