Footnotes
KITTY'S SON , very rank approaching the first turn, hugged the inner rail around the bend, eased out on the backstretch, entered the far turn in the three path, was fanned seven wide in upper stretch, closed outside horses and was up approaching the finish. OXFORD UNION raced in mid pack to the stretch, swung to the four path in upper stretch, challenged for the lead in mid stretch and finished gamely between rivals. UNDER THE RUG chased the pace, challenged for the lead mid way on the far turn, then battled inside horses in the drive. PLENTY ON TAP worked between horses the final half mile and gained ground late. FREEDOM GLIDER , eagerly sprinted to the lead entering the first turn, drifted wide the far turn, was in the six path in upper stretch and held stubboprnly under weakening late. VIGNON MANOR , four wide the first turn, chased the pace, bid for the lead in upper stretch and weakened between rivals. GONNA MAKE IT remained along the rail throughout and weakened the final furlong. ALL FRUITS RIPE hugged the inner rail and was steadied in tight quarters leaving the far turn. BAND TOUR , very wide leaving the backstretch, was not a factor. PERKINS GEM was outrun.
