Footnotes
RIVER TAY (IRE) , pinched back leaving the starting gate, hugged the inner rail on the turn, eased out then swung to the six path in mid stretch, closed strongly outside horses, led late and drove clear. GETAWAY PALACE bumped with the winner soon after the break, stalked the pace while four deep on the turn, gained a short lead in mid stretch and gave way grudgingly. WONDER GIRL prompted the pace outside the leader around the turn, challenged for the lead in upper stretch and weakened late. LADY ZETA , well positioned three deep on the turn, had aim on the lead in upper stretch, flattened out and was steadied in close quarters near the sixteenth pole. AFTERNEATH , checked in traffic approaching the turn, raced between horses in the stretch and failed to rally. DINE AND DASH sped to the early lead after breaking last, set the pace to the quarter pole then gradually weakened. INSTPARTY , steadied when coming out at the break, swung widest in upper stretch and was no factor. BEAUTIFUL BOLT , steadied when shuffled back along the inner rail leaving the backstretch, weakened. FITNESS , bumped leaving the starting gate, raced wide on the turn and was not a factor. An objection by the rider of LADY ZETA against GETAWAY PALACE for alleged interference in the stretch was not allowed.
