LADY CHARLOTTE was sent up along the inside of a pair of rivals to contest the early pace, moved clear heading to the turn, set the pace two wide past the five sixteenths, dug in when confronted by an outer BLESSED CANDY approaching the stretch, briefly lost command heading to the furlong grounds, battled back under strong handling to retake the lead, wandered outward and edged clear. BLESSED CANDY , with the early pace three deep, went back after the winner nearing the quarter pole, sparred on a slim lead leaving the three sixteenths, failed to match strides departing the eighth pole, was floated out some and gave way grudgingly. INFASTUATION , angled out soon after the break, settled off the pace, circled four wide under pressure into the stretch and offered a mild response. ALWAYS FORWARD , off the pace and saving ground, eased out for the drive and had belated action to the inside of INFASTUATION. SAPPHIRE BEAUTY was rated back from between foes soon after the break, saved ground under pressure mid turn but failed to rally. JUDITH'S CROSS vied between rivals early, chased to the inside of BLESSED CANDY leaving the far turn, failed to go on past the five sixteenths and retreated.
