Footnotes
WEST MOUNTAIN , three wide the first turn, chased FLAMENCO STAR down the backstretch, challenged for the lead outside that one in upper stretch, dueled and determinedly prevailed. FLAMENCO STAR broke through the starting gate before the race, broke well and was taken to the inner rail approaching the first turn, remained along the rail, dueled through the stretch and just missed in a very game effort. BOSS LILY stalked the pace from between horses down the backstretch and around the far turn, swung outside in mid stretch and closed nicely. OXFORD UNION lacked speed, stayed along the inner rail on the far turn and in upper stretch, altered course to the outside near the sixteenth pole and rallied. PLENTY ON TAP raced in the two path on the far turn, was well placed inside horses in the stretch and flattened out. DAVID'S KITTEN , in close quarters at the start, stayed along the rail to the stretch, swung out and was no factor. PAINTMYMASTERPEACE stalked the pace along the inner rail and gave way. HAULIN OATS , checked when pinched back leaving the starting gate, swung out approaching the first turn, circled four wide, chased the pace three wide the far turn and tired. DEPUTY A. P. bore in and was steadied leaving the starting gate then failed to be a factor. FURIOUS GEORGE , steadied in traffic entering the first turn, dropped back.
