Footnotes
MARGIE'S INTENTION secured the inside early on and settled, eased out leaving the far turn while in hand, circled four wide with a menacing run approaching the stretch, responded when set down soon after, closed in under left handed encouragement, overtook LOW COUNTRY MAGIC near the sixteenth pole, drew clear and was kept alert to the wire. LOW COUNTRY MAGIC took over early and went clear into the first turn, set a rated pace towards the inner rail, handled outer pressure nearing the five eighths, spurted away some leaving the three eighths, was put to a firm hand ride as the winner gained into the lane, failed to deny that one's charge leaving mid stretch but stayed on well to be clearly second best. LATE NITE CALL prompted the pace wide, moved up to be on near even terms heading to the five eighths, failed to quicken with the leader past the three eighths, stayed on to pursue to mid stretch then faded. QUEEN AZTECA , three wide into and around the first turn, crept up after a half, failed to kick on under pressure while three wide past the quarter pole and weakened. COMPLEXITY JANE , fractious behind and also in the gate, drafted back off the pace and saved some ground, failed to go on around the final turn and was eased through the final furlong.
