Footnotes
NAVAJO WARRIOR broke on top, cleared early and took to rating, handled some outer pressure from AWESOME AARON through the backstretch run and far turn, edged clear leaving the five sixteenths, dug in when encountered by an outer MACLEAN'S ROOK approaching the stretch, spurted away when put to strong left handed encouragement nearing mid stretch, continued under pressure from there and proved resolute to the wire. MACLEAN'S ROOK , off a beat slow, was angled out nearing the first turn then settled, commenced a run when given his cue leaving the far turn, rolled up four wide to take aim on the winner leaving the quarter pole, could not quite go with that one past the three sixteenths but stayed on well to hold down the place. SAN SIRO stalked inside, crept closer near the five sixteenths, eased out briefly nearing the lane, shifted back in to pursue past mid stretch then continued on with interest. DUKE OF DUVAL , between rivals early, settled off the inside, angled out near the five sixteenths, made some progress circling four wide into the lane then flattened out through the final sixteenth. XCELLENT START bobbled inward at the break, regrouped and lagged off the pace while saving ground, worked outward in the lane and kept trying to the wire. YO DADDY , four then three wide stalking, was under pressure between rivals nearing the quarter pole, failed to punch on and weakened near mid stretch. AWESOME AARON moved up to the outside of the winner soon into the backstretch, prompted the pace into the far turn, failed to kick on between horses past the five sixteenths and faltered.
