CHASING LIBERTY rated in mid pack while saving ground, edged up soon into the lane, responded to right handed asks and snuck through to the inside of a quartet of outer rivals leaving mid stretch, gained a slim advantage a sixteenth out, went nose to nose with OUTLAW KID from there and dug in tenaciously to narrowly prevail. OUTLAW KID rated outside the winner leaving the far turn, moved up with that one past the three sixteenths, altered out about five wide for a clear run in mid stretch, lodged a bold bid outside runners, drew alongside CHASING LIBERTY through the final seventy yards and just missed in a valiant effort. CARD TRICK settled off the pace three wide, shifted out five to six wide for the drive and closed steadily. RUN CURTIS RUN , off the pace while saving ground, steadied when in a bit close into the turn, regrouped and made progress along the rail near mid stretch, had to wait near the sixteenth pole, angled out and finished strong between horses. JEAN VALJEAN , washy behind the gate, accelerated to the front, set the pace towards the inside, was a bit headstrong and got out a path when pressured past the three eighths, corrected and was hooked from both sides entering the lane, fought on between runners past mid stretch and faded. DETERMINED KINGDOM tracked inside, moved two wide and to the inside of the dueling leaders soon into the stretch, vied on a slim lead in mid stretch, ceded the advantage with about a sixteenth to go and weakened. FORE HARP prompted the pace outside JEAN VALJEAN, was floated out when bidding past the three eighths, dueled three deep from the head of the lane to mid stretch then gave in late. TIDEWATER was rated along between horses early, steadied into the turn, shifted out in the drive and kept on with effort. HAD TO HAVE HIM , reluctant to load, stalked three to four wide, shifted wider with pursuit of the dueling leaders in upper stretch, lacked a kick leaving mid stretch and faded. INCINERATOR broke slowly, lagged off the pace, raced three wide into the lane, angled out in the final furlong and failed to menace.
