TURF STAR , patiently rated down the backstretch, raced along the inner rail the far turn following MY FAVORITE BIRD, angled outside horses approaching the eighth pole, surged late and was up in deep stretch. MY FAVORITE BIRD remained along the inner rail stalking the pace, advanced leaving the far turn, eased out to the three path in upper stretch, swept to the lead in mid stretch and gave way grudgingly. ATTFIELD prompted outside THEBABESLAYER, engaged that one leaving the backstretch, dueled around the turn, brushed with THEBABESLAYER in upper stretch and weakened. PROTON tracked outside horses down the backstretch, circled the far turn three wide, floated to the four path in upper stretch and passed a tired foe late. THEBABESLAYER made the early lead easily, remained along the inner rail, dueled around the far turn, brushed with ATTFIELD in upper stretch and weakened. JESSICA'S EYES , four wide entering the first turn, was no factor and floated five wide leaving the far turn. J CODY trailed.
