Footnotes
HOCKEY sprinted clear leaving the backstretch, saved ground around the turn and dug in stubbornly in the drive while under pressure. CHA CHA CHUKKA saved ground on the turn, swung to the three path at the head of the stretch then gamely chased the winner through the lane. DREAM LEADER , kept wide on the turn, drifted to the six path turning for home, weakened and drifted in near the sixteenth pole. PRINCESS CLEMMIE chased between horses for a half mile then dropped back. TAVRIA , three deep chasing the winner for five furlongs, drifted to the five path at the head of the stretch then fell back.
