Footnotes
RED SPITFIRE drafted back off the pace and off the inside, angled out leaving the three eighths, circled six wide into the lane, closed outside rivals, emerged in a duel outside WORLD ON FIRE leaving the sixteenth pole, gained a narrow advantage in deep stretch and was fully extended to prevail. WORLD ON FIRE , bumped soon after the break, was forwardly placed three wide early, steadied off of a rival near the half, angled out and progressed four to five wide into the lane, gained a slim lead between runners in mid stretch, battled valiantly inside the winner and just missed. STICKTOTHESYSTEM tapered in a bit while advancing near the half, stalked three wide under some rating, took closer order past the five sixteenths, bid four wide in upper stretch, battled inside foes past mid stretch and gave way grudgingly. MOSE SMOKIN came out some soon after the start and bumped with WORLD ON FIRE, straightened and stalked between runners nearing the half, chased two wide in upper stretch then went evenly in the final furlong. WIN NO JOKE lagged well back while saving ground, swung about five wide for the drive, edged up some near mid stretch then flattened out. ENGLISH DADDY drifted out at the start and bumped STICKTOTHESYSTEM, corrected and sped clear, set the pace towards the inside, drifted to the three path soon into the lane, failed to contain threats and weakened in the final furlong. ELLINGER saved ground chasing the pace, stayed in touch to about mid stretch then gave way.
