SPEEDY ALEX , forced in a bit at the break, angled off heels early and was taken wide, commenced a wide run leaving the far turn, bid four deep to engage the embattled leaders into the lane, vied outside ELLINGER past mid stretch then steadily pulled away under a drive. ELLINGER was sent up soon after the break and tracked the dueling leaders, edged up mid turn then bid three wide between foes, emerged in a tussle to the inside of SPEEDY ALEX past the three sixteenths, faded on his left lead but was able to hold down the place. BIG MO GEE sparred outside a rival into and around the turn, raced two wide between runners into the lane, shifted out after being unable to go with the top two but continued on with effort. CADEMAN , away a bit awkwardly, was sent up soon after and joined BIG MO GEE from his inside, dueled into around the turn, failed to keep pace with outer foes nearing mid stretch and weakened. ANDRAS , urged along while saving ground, failed to muster up a rally.
