Footnotes
PENDAR disputed the pace outside SKYCROSS down the backstretch and around the far turn, was hooked on his outside by MARGIE'S LAST in upper stretch, battled that one the final furlong and determinedly prevailed. MARGIE'S LAST stalked the leaders down the backstretch, eased out to the three path leaving the far turn, challenged outside the winner in upper stretch, gained a short lead, dueled and just missed in a game effort. JOY DIVISION remained along the inner rail to upper stretch, altered course to the six path in mid stretch when searching for room and rallied mildly. DRIVE BY JOHNNY , rank behind horses entering the first turn, remained along the rail to upper stretch, moved to the four path in mid stretch and flatened out. SE THAR BARR , four deep leaving the far turn, was in striking position in upper stretch, floated to the five path near the eighth pole and lacked a rally. SKYCROSS stayed along the inner rail disputing the pace with the winner and gave way the final furlong. JAMES hopped at the break, angled to the inner rail entering the first turn and was outrun. NOSTROMO , wide the far turn, was outrun.
