HARK THEANGELSSING stalked the pace in the two path between horses around the turn, took aim on the lead in upper stretch, closed outside GERRARDS CROSS the final furlong and was up approaching the finish. GERRARDS CROSS broke alertly, sprinted clear and was taken to the inner rail, set the pace along the rail, moved to the two path in upper stretch, responded when challenged in the drive and just missed in a sharp performance. TAP INTO GRACE , checked on heels leaving the backstretch, stayed inside horses, saved ground on the turn, remained inside horses in the stretch, swung to the four path near the sixteenth pole and rallied. JUST PHILTORED raced along the inner rail around the turn, chased the pace, moved up inside horses in mid stretch then weakened. ONLY FOR NOW between horses on the backstretch and around the turn, worked to the five path in upper stretch, had clear sailing and came up empty. THE TOWN TEMPTER , pursued three to four wide on the turn and gave way in upper stretch. RIVER ESCAPE hit the inside of her starting gate stall, raced outside horses on the turn and gave way.
