HYMN rated close up and to the outside of WICKEDDIVINE, shifted out near the three sixteenths then rolled up to engage CELTIC CONTENER in mid stretch, wrested command soon after, drifted in a few paths when clear and powered away while solidly hand ridden to the wire. CELTIC CONTENDER prompted the pace three wide outside the leader, moved to a slim advantage nearing the quarter pole, shook clear leaving the three sixteenths, failed to contain the winner's outer charge, drifted in while fading but was able to save the place. WICKEDDIVINE edged up leaving the five eighths and gained a stalking position, hugged the rail with an advance into the lane, altered out for a clear run near the sixteenth pole, straightened away and finished with good energy. FAUST was sent up to the inside of CELTIC CONTENDER and took command nearing the five eighths, set the pace in the two path while hounded, dueled under a ride leaving the five sixteenths, remained two wide into the lane and weakened through the final sixteenth. PETINGAS TWIN , fidgety in the gate, broke slowly, regrouped and settled well back, was under pressure four wide into the lane but failed to make an impact. PENTATHLON , off a beat slow, was taken to rate early on, came under a serious ride saving some ground past the five sixteenths, eased out to about the three path into the lane but failed to get involved.
