POST TIME , excused from the post parade, came away in good order, rated kindly outside AWESOME RUTA while stalking the leader, cruised up to engage NORTHERN FLAME leaving the half, moved clear three wide under confident handling approaching the stretch, responded when given a few shoves leaving the quarter pole, drew off emphatically in mid stretch then continued to widen while well within himself through the final seventy yards. NORTHERN FLAME cleared early, set the pace towards the inside, was under a ride leaving the far turn, battled briefly inside the winner nearing the three eighths, failed to match strides heading into the stretch, gave willing pursuit to about mid stretch then faded. AWESOME RUTA tracked inside the winner, failed to go on under pressure past the three eighths, angled four wide into the stretch, weakened and was eased through the final furlong.
