Footnotes
TUCKER TIKI advanced inside foes soon after the break and joined STONECOLDHANDSOME for the lead, took command near the three quarter pole then briefly edged clear into the turn, handled outer pressure past the three eighths while coaxed along, shook back clear in upper stretch, responded to firmer asking and steadily drew away. STONECOLDHANDSOME sped to the early lead, ceded to the inner winner but stayed around to press, drifted out a path or two into the stretch, corrected with hard chase past the three sixteenths and kept on gamely to hold down the place. PAYNTED LION bore in at the break bumping LITTLE THEODORE, corrected and trailed early, edged up three deep into the turn, shifted out five wide with pursuit into the stretch, straightened and churned on. JOE CLASS broke slowly, was pinched back soon after, edged up to the inside of a rival leaving the three quarter pole, raced between runners into the turn, shifted out bit in upper stretch to make some progress then flattened out through the final furlong. LITTLE THEODORE , bumped and forced in at the break, regrouped and was used three to four wide to reach a stalking spot leaving the five eighths, was under a ride chasing the leaders mid turn, failed to kick on leaving the eighth pole and weakened. RUNAWAY ROOSTER pulled his way forward leaving the chute and stalked a contested early pace, shifted inside leaving the far turn, pursued to upper stretch then tired. ZIMBA saved ground and was done after a half mile.
