RARE ECLIPSE tracked the dueling leaders two wide, eased out in upper stretch, made a grinding run under left handed asking, moved to a slim lead between runners in the final strides and prevailed. SALTWATER CREW , reluctant to load, broke forwardly and got in a duel outside DANNER after the opening furlong, sparred under confident handling around the turn and into the lane, responded when called upon near the three sixteenths, clung to a slim advantage under a strong hand ride past the sixteenth marker, was headed very late and kept on gamely between foes. STAR ATLAS , outside a rival and off the contested pace, crept closer three wide into the stretch, shifted further out for the final furlong and was gaining outside foes. DANNER , off a beat slow after making contact with the gate, corrected and accelerated to contention, emerged in a pace battle along the inside heading to the turn, fought nose to nose to the inside of SALTWATER CREW past the sixteenth pole then gave way stubbornly through the final yards. RENOVATOR flashed speed then was rated back off the leaders, saved ground with a run near mid stretch and flattened out. KING OF THE ISLES (IRE) showed speed towards the inside, eased back near the half, swung out five wide nearing mid stretch and faded. GONDORFF was outrun. IRISH DIVO broke slowly, was angled out leaving the far turn and faded.
