MORNING THOUGHTS , confidently handled four wide stalking outside the leader, moved to engage leaving the far turn, took over past the five sixteenths, opened up after being put to a stiff drive in upper stretch then held firm while kept to task. LONELY RIDE broke a step slow, lagged off the pace while saving ground, eased out into the stretch, worked between foes near mid stretch and kept on gamely to steadily cut into the winner's margin. ADMIT NOTHING settled well off the inside, gained five wide outside a rival and under a hustling ride into the stretch, flattened out some late but managed to save the show. STATES UNITED dropped in some entering the first turn and stalked the pace, shifted four wide under a solid ride past the five sixteenths, chased to the inside of ADMIT NOTHING but failed to seriously kick on. PUDGE BOY PALACE was guided three wide when sent to the front, remained well off the rail setting the pace through the backstretch run, was joined with three eighths to go, battled to upper stretch then weakened. SOUTHERN DISTRICT , rank at the break, saved ground off the early pace, edged up some near the half, was shoved along past the five sixteenths and faded.
