PUNXSUTAWNEY PHIL rated in the second flight early while racing off the rail then made a steady advance while four wide into the second turn and ranged up to challenge before lugging in at the 1/8 pole then straightened out and closed to get up in time. ZEVON stalked the early pace while racing three wide then loomed to challenge at the 3/8 pole before taking the lead nearing the 1/4 pole and raced all out through the stretch, getting caught late while posting a game effort. KING COVEE was allowed to settle early before ranging up and circling horses while six wide on the second turn and sustained that rally through the stretch to get up for show. LOOKIN AT MAC moved up and assumed command into the first turn before slowing the pace down on the backstretch run then led the field into the second turn but was headed at the 3/8 pole and dug in through the stretch run but was caught in the final eighth. PHIL'S PRINCE rated in the middle of the pack early and waited into the second turn before making a five wide bid at the 1/4 pole and sustained a mild rally through the wire. FREEDOM GLIDER was unprepared at the start and missed the break, spotting the field multiple lengths then was void of early speed while racing with a rail trip before angling six wide into the stretch and showing some run late. WALKING IN MEMPHIS settled along the inside early while under a tight hold then moved closer to contention nearing the 1/2 pole before being urged to challenge at the 3/8 pole but had no response into the stretch. GOOD MAN DAN rated in the second flight and tucked in just behind the early leaders before being steadied nearing the 7/8 pole then waited along the backstretch run but was asked again along the rail into the second turn but made no rally.
