Footnotes
CORINGA cruised to the front then dropped in and secured the rail when clearing into the first turn, set a rated pace and handled some outer pressure through the backstretch run, opened up after being put to solid hand encouragement in upper stretch, wandered outward while being shown the crop late then held sway. YOUKNOWNOTHING leaned in at the break and bumped with JACK'S LEGEND, regrouped and was guided inside to settle, took closer order past the three eighths, was stalled behind foes approaching the stretch, worked outward for a clear run leaving the three sixteenths, remained on his left lead and finished well to gain. JACK'S LEGEND , bumped at the break, corrected and edged up early to stalk off the inside, gained three wide under some coaxing nearing the lane, saw the winner kick away past the three sixteenths but stayed on willingly to come back some through the final seventy yards. MAGICAL MONDAYS broke inward bumping GOODBYE NOTE, straightened and saved ground, eased out nearing the half, moved up some past the three eighths, gave hard chase three to four wide into the stretch but came up empty. DAVYJONZ , well placed saving ground, moved up to be close into the far turn, was nudged upon to hold position into the stretch, failed to kick on leaving mid stretch and faded. CRABS N BEER , bumped and pinched back at the break, recovered and settled well off the pace, angled out for the backstretch run, lost ground four wide into the far turn then churned on through the final furlong. GOODBYE NOTE , bumped and forced in at the break, straightened and edged up three wide to attend the pace, shadowed the winner through the opening six furlongs, chased between runners nearing the lane and weakened. ZEVON , toward the inside and off the early pace, came out nearing the half, dropped back in past the three eighths and failed to respond.
