SHARMIN , reared up in the paddock pre race, was bumped and forced in by FIVECOMMATWO soon after the break, was bumped two more times when heading towards the first turn, took over around the first turn and secured the inside to set a rated pace, handled outer pressure, went clear in hand leaving the far turn, responded when shaken up in upper stretch, denied DON'T TELL DEREN in mid stretch and kicked away under a drive. DON'T TELL DEREN , in close while saving ground and forward into the first turn, regrouped and stalked inside, edged up into the far turn, came out with pursuit into the lane, loomed a solid presence in mid stretch, could not go with the winner but kept on well to hold down the place. DIVINING SMILE , forced in at the break, settled off the inside, circled five wide with progress past the quarter pole, bumped with an inner PUT A ROCK ON IT soon into the lane, straightened away and finished well. QUERY bobbled at the break, was forced in soon after, secured the inside and rated, advanced along the rail past the five sixteenths, eased out in upper stretch then came up empty late. PEGSTER saved ground while not far back, made a run along the inner rail approaching the stretch, continued progress to mid stretch then flattened out. CANADIAN BEAR , brushed and in close heading to the first turn, stalked about three wide, angled four wide with some run past the five sixteenths then faded late. KOBE'S SMILE , off the pace while inside, swung very wide for the drive and had a belated kick. PUT A ROCK ON IT , in tight and forced in at the break, recovered to raced off the rail, made a run three to four wide past the five sixteenths, was bumped when hemmed in near the three sixteenths, shifted in and came up empty. BOSSY BOOTS chased the pace off the inside, raced between foes near the five sixteenths, angled in and faded. HAZELMOOR BEACH broke in the air, lost ground through the backstretch run, came six wide for the drive and lacked a bid. OSA , off the pace, angled out in the drive and failed to menace. POLICE WOMAN saved ground, eased out in upper stretch and lacked a bid. FIVECOMMATWO came in at the break bumping the winner and causing a jam up to inner foes, came in two more times making contact, pressed outside the winner then faltered in upper stretch. An objection by the rider of DON'T TELL DEREN against the winner for alleged interference entering the first turn was not allowed
