TAX AND TAGS accelerated to the early lead, stayed well off the inner rail, drifted out near the eighth pole and lasted. HOPPETOSSE stayed outside the winner and gamely chased that one through the stretch. GOODLUCK ROAD hugged the inner rail around the turn, remained inside horses in the stretch and failed to rally in an even effort. JIGGER broke slowly, raced along the inner rail on the turn and through the stretch and had a slight rally. ROYAL RENEGADE lacked speed, was in hand waiting for room in mid stretch, raced between horses and passed tired ones. DERZ SMART lacked speed, swung very wide at the head of the stretch, floated wider in mid stretch and passed tired rivals. MASTER NIBBLES , rated between horses down the backstretch, raced between horses in the stretch and came up empty. GO TO BINGO , wide on the turn, was not a factor. AIRBRUSH remained along the rail around the turn and weakened. FUNKY SEE FUNKY DO , steadied in traffic about a sixteenth of a mile after the break, failed to rally. RARE ECLIPSE , a forward factor three deep on the turn, gave way. ANDOLIN , wide on the turn, gave way.
