Footnotes
PARKES remained along the inner rail stalking the pace for six furlongs, eased out to the three path at the head of the lane, closed steadily outside horses and was up approaching the finish. TIMSHEL sprinted clear and moved to the inner rail approaching the first turn, set the pace, was hounded by RECKLESS from the three eighths pole, dug in stubbornly and just missed. DUCHESSA lacked speed, raced between horses turning for home, swung outside in mid stretch and rallied nicely. RECKLESS chased outside TIMSHEL, challenged for the lead in mid stretch and flattened out. WALL ART hugged the inner rail around the turns while stalking the pace and failed to rally. READY SET TWIRL , caught in close quarters after hopping at the break, was outrun. VESTING (IRE) stayed outside horses down the backstretch and on the far turn and failed to rally. PROMISSIO lacked speed, raced along the inner rail on the far turn and in the stretch and failed to rally. FREEDOM GLIDER bumped with KING COVEE at the start, chased the pace outside horses down the backstretch, drifted wide leaving the far turn and gave way. KING COVEE bumped with FREEDOM GLIDER after breaking slowly then was outrun.
