NIX IN TWENTYSIX , eased over to the inner rail entering the first turn, rated inside horses, angled out lightly bumping with SENSE THE MOON in upper stretch, worked between horses, closed inside MARIA ELENA was up near the finish. MARIA ELENA , never far back, circled the far turn three wide, took the lead near the eighth pole, drifted out near the sixteenth pole and gave way grudgingly. FRAZIL hopped at the break, showed no speed, swung to the five path leaving the far turn, drifted in on SENSE THE MOON in upper stretch, drifted in near the eighth pole, flattened out and steadied behind MARIA ELENA near the sixteenth pole. PANNING FOR GOLD raced wide around both turns, failed to menace and passed tired rivals. DIVINE SUNSHINE dueled racing along the inner rail and weakened the final furlong. TUVANA stayed along the inner rail on the first turn and was outrun. VIRGINIA FAB , a forward factor along the inner rail to the stretch, gave way. SENSE THE MOON stalked the pace, moved to the three path leaving the far turn, was lightly bumped by the winner then took up when impeded by FRAZIL in upper stretch. DOE'S LEMONADE dueled outside and gave way. OUT TIL TWO trailed. Following a stewards' inquiry, FRAZIL was disqualified and placed eighth. An objection by the rider of FRAZIL against MARIA ELENA for alleged interference in the stretch was not allowed.
