PASSIONED hopped at the break and away last, regrouped and was hard sent outside rivals then cleared leaving the seven furlong marker, dropped in towards the rail and set a rated pace, spurted away leaving the five sixteenths, opened up under a drive nearing mid stretch then dug in to narrowly prevail. CATATUMBO settled off the pace and off the inside, angled out leaving the half, lost ground from the three eighths, circled into the lane then closed gamely through the final sixteenth to just miss. HAY CHIEF was squeezed back from between rivals in the opening furlong, angled out and lost ground six wide, circled six wide under a ride into the lane and closed steadily. STATES UNITED had speed then rated back off the leaders around the first turn, tracked inside, came out while under a ride into the stretch, chased past mid stretch then came up empty in the final fifty yards. BIRD KING drifted in tightening rivals nearing the first turn, settled off the pace, chased four to five wide nearing the lane but lacked a rally. MR. HUSTLE stalked off the rail, was under a hearty ride three to four wide past the five sixteenths, lacked a kick nearing mid stretch and faded. ENERGY EFFICIENT was sent to contention between foes, took back off the winner leaving the seven furlong pole, angled out and stalked, was under a ride chasing past the five sixteenths, shifted inside in upper stretch and weakened. MARTINI MARTIN steadied back from between runners nearing the first turn, lost ground five wide while to the inside of a rival soon into the backstretch then failed to generate a run. COMPETITIVE SAINT showed speed, stalked early, saved ground leaving the far turn and faltered.
