Footnotes
SCULCOS FOLLY , jostled at the break, regrouped and showed sharp speed to clear near the five eighths, set the pace towards the inside, kicked away off the rail and under a drive nearing mid stretch, was kept alert to the sixteenth pole then geared down in the final yards. FOWL MOUTH broke inward bumping a rival then steadied when in close, regrouped and raced well off the pace while three wide early, advanced two wide outside a foe nearing the lane, drifted in past the three sixteenths, raced on his left lead and finished up willingly to gain the place. FEELS SO RIGHT broke sharply and led through the opening sixteenth, rated off the winner then prompted three wide, took closer order near the three eighths, failed to seriously quicken on near mid stretch and faded late. MOSE SMOKIN broke inward, corrected and stalked four wide, shifted in for the drive and came up empty. IN HONOR OF JEFF chased the pace, saved ground past the five sixteenths and into the lane, lacked a punch past the three sixteenths and weakened. WILLISTON WARRIOR had his rider briefly lose the irons after breaking outward and bumping with the winner, recovered in the opening sixteenth and made a mild rail move, chased into the turn then faltered. There was a stewards' inquiry concerning the start and an objection by the rider of FOWL MOUTH against the winner alleging interference leaving the gate. No action was taken.
