Footnotes
FORMAL AFFAIR settled off the pace, angled out leaving the three eighths, circled six wide into the lane, closed in outside rivals under left handed asking, emerged in a battle outside MONDAY MORNING QB in deep stretch, forged to a narrow advantage and proved best. MONDAY MORNING QB , nudged along saving ground, took closer order mid turn, angled out under a ride into the lane, bid four wide between foes, sparred inside the winner through the final seventy yards and kept on gamely. ELECTRIC EEL chased inside, edged up mid turn, eased out a path then had to wait in upper stretch, shifted back in, bid inside foes and kept on well. CATAHOULA MOON prompted two to three wide under asking, gained a slim lead between foes in mid stretch, failed to sustain and weakened late. MAGIC SPIN , three to five wide, edged up past the three sixteenths, steadied when in close between rivals a sixteenth out, regrouped and finished with effort. HOLY SYNCHRONICITY , off the rail, failed to respond. DAUFUSKIE ISLAND bobbled slightly at the break, sped to the front, set the pace towards the inside, was hounded around the turn, dueled on a short lead past the three sixteenths, failed to kick on near the sixteenth pole and tired. An objection by the rider of MAGIC SPIN against the winner and runner-up for alleged interference in the stretch was not allowed.
