Footnotes
BREEZING UP , quickly to contention, pressed the pace outside ELLINGER, was under solid asking mid turn, saw ELLINGER get away a bit soon into the lane, came back on under strong encouragement while floated out, kept on grinding and forged ahead in the final yards. ELLINGER sped to the front, secured the inside and set a rated pace, handled outside pressure into and around the turn, shook clear after being set down in upper stretch, wandered outward clinging to the lead past mid stretch, kept on gamely but just failed to resist the winner. OLEG edged up early and tracked the embattled leaders three to four wide, failed to kick on under pressure past mid stretch and faded. WORLD ON FIRE , off the pace and under a ride, raced two wide into the lane, shifted out, advanced between runners with a sixteenth to go and continued on with effort. ARTIST MARK broke outward soundly bumping a rival, was urged along three wide mid turn, shifted in near mid stretch and faded. WHO SAYS SO was steadied back from between rivals soon after the start, angled out, circled four wide under a ride, made a mild run near mid stretch then flattened out. BUTHESPRETTY , inside, was not a factor. BOX OF ROCKETS , away alertly, flashed speed then dropped inside to chase, raced in range to the quarter pole then weakened. CHASE A DREAM , roughed at the break, found himself far back early and was unable to generate a run.
