Footnotes
PUDGE BOY PALACE prompted the pace three wide outside the leader, moved to apply more pressure past the five sixteenths, dueled, gained a slim lead in mid stretch, kept on under solid hand encouragement the final sixteenth and held firm. P J'S SONG , urged to the inside of a rival early on, circled four to five wide into the stretch, closed steadily through the final furlong and just got up for the place. PROM KNIGHT was hard sent from the gate, set the pace about two wide while shadowed by the winner, dug in when confronted mid turn, dueled to deep stretch and held well. QUINCANNON , bumped at the break, regrouped and prompted towards the inside early, steadied leaving the half, angled three wide to chase the embattled leaders, came four wide for the drive, pursued to the inside of P J'S SONG leaving mid stretch but came up empty. MIDNIGHT RENEGADE dropped off the pace, saved ground mid turn, eased out, raced between foes near mid stretch but failed to muster up a solid run. KEEPING IT COUNTRY broke outward bumping a rival, corrected and edged up inside, eased back off rivals leaving the five eighths and angled out, lost ground four wide past the three eighths and faded. ISLAND D'LITE , four wide between foes early, angled in around the turn and weakened.
