FAN CLUB prompted the pace three wide, was put to pressure as the leaders got away leaving the far turn, dropped inside and was under a hearty ride pursuing a duel into the lane, picked things back up and moved through along the rail to forge to command a furlong out, spurted clear under left handed asking with a sixteenth to go then dug in late to deny BOLD ENDEAVOR. BOLD ENDEAVOR had speed inside then rated back off the leader nearing the seven eighths, angled out for the backstretch run then edged up to prompt, disputed the pace outside MASAKADO from the half mile marker, was floated out while taking a slim lead into the lane, dug back in after ceding the lead to the inner winner and came back gamely through the final yards. MASAKADO bore in sharply at the break then had to be taken off of a rival, corrected and was nudged up to take command and cleared seven furlongs out, was joined from the outside near the five eighths, clung to command while drifting past the quarter pole, fought on between foes nearing mid stretch then weakened. MASTER OF NONE steadied when bothered by MASAKADO at the break, regrouped and saved ground, edged up some nearing the five furlong marker, angled out nearing the quarter pole but failed to generate a rally. CATATUMBO lost ground four wide to the half mile marker, failed to respond leaving the far turn and weakened.
