IT'S SIZZLING TIME remained along the inner rail on the turn while off the pace, swung four wide entering the stretch, steadily drifted in despite left hand urging, took the lead approaching the sixteenth pole and drove clear. LITTLE LANCE saved ground on the turn, eased out to the two path in upper stretch, advanced to mid stretch, checked to avoid the heels of IT'S SIZZLIING TIME approaching the sixteenth pole, angled out and finished gamely. PROM KNIGHT , under urging down the backstretch, was well back on the turn, swung to the five path in upper stretch and passed tired horses. SONG RUNNER sped to a clear lead early, hugged the inner rail, set the pace to inside the eighth pole and weakened late. LIKEBELIVINGNMAGIC , sluggish to begin, was taken to the inner rail mid way down the backstretch, swung to the six path in mid stretch and passed tired foes. ISLAND D'LITE stayed along the inner rail around the turn and was never a factor. VAMOS VIEJO , three wide chasing the pace to the stretch, gave way and was eased late. An objection by the rider of LITTLE LANCE against the winner for alleged interference in the stretch drive was not allowed. There was a stewards' inquiry concerning the stretch run but no action was taken.
