Footnotes
FREEZE THE FIRE , three wide between rivals heading to the half, dropped inside leaving the far turn, eased out with progress past the five sixteenths, closed stoutly and forged past the leader leaving mid stretch, kicked clear under a drive then held firm under steady handling. GUN IT , urged along off the pace and off the inside, angled five wide for the drive, remained on his left lead and gave game chase to the wire. SWILL , off slowly when tossing his head around at the break, regrouped and rated off the pace and to the inside of a rival into the turn, angled six wide nearing the stretch, straightened away and finished with good effort. EXCELLENT TIMING , four then three wide prompting the pace, went on the attack into the turn, rolled clear under some rating mid turn, shifted in while under asking into the stretch, failed to contain the winner leaving mid stretch and weakened. SEVEN'S ELEVEN saved ground in mid pack early, edged up some nearing mid stretch, eased out while on his left lead but failed to follow through. CATAHOULA MOON , off the pace and off the inside, came four wide for the drive but lacked a rally. TIZ NO CLOWN broke a bit slow, was used wide early, made a mild run past the five sixteenths, failed to sustain and weakened. NIGHT PREACHER sped clear early while his rider adjusted the left iron, set the pace towards the inside, was overwhelmed around the turn, faltered entering the lane then was eased through the final furlong.
