STATES UNITED , taken to rate in mid pack early on, was guided towards the inner rail heading to the turn, edged up then was patiently handled behind rivals mid turn, eased out and worked between foes into the lane, was deftly maneuvered to the inner rail leaving the quarter pole, moved to a slim lead a furlong out then edged away under a drive. QUINCANNON , bumped at the break, rated back off of rivals leaving the chute then settled off the rail and in the clear, quickly bid four deep mid turn, forced the inner into the stretch, battled on leaving the furlong grounds, gave way grudgingly on his left lead and just saved the place between horses. WHAT DOES IT TAKE stalked the dueling leaders, bid between foes mid turn then took the advantage soon after, sparred between horses near mid stretch then gave way stubbornly. P J'S SONG settled off the pace about six wide, commenced a run into the turn, circled five wide into the stretch and made a grinding run on his left lead to just miss the show outside rivals. BE BETTER settled back while saving ground, moved up nearing the lane, eased out to chase then steadied when lacking room through the final sixty yards. MR. HUSTLE , off the pace and under coaxing around the turn, shifted out very wide for the drive and had belated action. HAY CHIEF was squeezed back at the break, lagged back while saving ground, worked outward through the final five sixteenths but came up empty. RUNNING RIVER disputed the pace three wide outside a rival, chased on between foes nearing the lane and weakened. LIKEBELIVINGNMAGIC , well wide, was not a factor. CAERUS saved ground and faded. FIGHTERTOWN dueled inside for five and a half furlongs, was under pressure into the lane and tired.
