FITNESS made the early lead, set the pace near the inner rail, was collared by ADE in upper stretch, responded and drove clear late. ADE stalked the pace, stayed in the three path down the backstretch, swung four deep mid way on the far turn, drew alongside the winner in upper stretch and hung. WHY NOT GRACE remained along the inner rail, chased the winner and weakened. FIRST PEARL , four wide entering the first turn, chased the winner, raced in the two path on the far turn and gave way. BUGGED OUT attempted to bear out entering the first turn, swung wide leaving the far turn and was no factor. QUALIFIED HIRE , four wide the first turn, chased the pace outside horses down the backstretch, was a forward factor in the three path on the far turn and faltered in upper stretch.
